Harvard Project Zero - Görsel Düşünme Yolları
Beceri ve yeteneklerin düşünmek için yeterli olmadığı, önemli bir bulgudur. Beceri ve yetenekler elbette önemlidir ancak düşünmeyi gerektiren durumların farkında olmak, düşünmek ve öğrenmeye karşı olumlu tutumlar sergilemek de son derece önemlidir.
Çoğu zaman, bazı öğrenciler daha derin düşünme yeteneği olmadığı için değil, sadece fırsatı fark edemediği ya da umursamadığı için sığ yöntemlerle düşünür. İyi düşünme, her üçünü de aynı anda yapabilecek yetenek, tutum ve uyanıklığı içerir. Görünür Düşünme üçünü de desteklemek için tasarlanmıştır.
Bu rutinler düşünen bir öğrencinin ve sınıf kültürünün gelişimini teşvik etmek için bütün rutinlerin şu özelliklerde olması gerekir:
• Hedef odaklı, belirli düşünce türlerini hedefleyen
• Sınıfta tekrar tekrar kullanılan
• Sadece birkaç adımdan oluşan
• Öğrenmesi ve öğretmesi kolay
• Çeşitli bağlamlarda kullanılabilen
• Bireysel veya grup olarak kullanılabilen
Öğretmenler rutine uygun içerik sunmalıdır. IB programı içerik bakımından zengin olduğundan öğrencilerimizin ayrıntılı düşünmelerini sağlamak amacıyla bu yöntemleri kolayca uygulayabiliyor ve sanılandan çok daha etkili olduğunu derslerimizde deneyimliyoruz.
HARVARD PROJECT ZERO- VISIBLE THINKING ROUTINES
One important finding is that skills and abilities are not enough for thinking. They are important of course, but alertness to situations that call for thinking and positive attitudes toward thinking and learning are tremendously important as well. Often, some students think in shallow ways not for lack of ability to think more deeply but because they simply do not notice the opportunity or do not care. To put it all together, good thinking involves abilities, attitudes, and alertness, all three at once. Visible Thinking is designed to foster all three.
What makes these routines work to promote the development of a students thinking and the classroom culture are that each routine:
Is goal oriented, targets specific types of thinking
Gets used over and over again in the classroom
Consists of only a few steps
Is easy to learn and teach
Can be used across a variety of context
Can be used by the group or by the individual
It is necessary for the teacher to bring appropriate content to the routine. Because of their simple nature, the routines can simply be used as a means of investigating and working with existing subject matter. Since IB program is rich in content we use these thinking routines to enable our students to promote detailed thinking.
