School trip to the cultural heritage of the Istanbul Metropolitan Region

IELEV Photography Club students; Under the guidance of architectural historian Kıvanç Başak; starting from the Spice Bazaar, which was built during the construction of the New Mosque to generate income for this mosque; considered one of the most successful examples of Ottoman Architecture and tile art, the "Rüstem Pasha Mosque'', which has protected the inhabitants of the city from external attacks since its construction and it is also on the UNESCO World Heritage List, and the "Land Walls" of Byzantine and Ottoman civilizations. He guided the  "Istanbul Heritage '' tour   by visiting the "Great Byzantine Bukaleon Palace '' from the 5th century, which is considered as a heritage to Istanbul.

During the  trip, the importance of these monuments and cultural assets in terms of urban culture and art history was emphasized, and at the same time, our students were made aware of the heritage items found in their city, which are very important for world cultural heritage.
