Best Practice GIB Exchange Among German IB Schools in Turkey

IELEV GIB DP candidates have been hosting eight GIB DP candidates from the Privatschule der Deutschen Botschaft – Ernst Reuter Schule in Ankara for three days in April. IB DP coordinators and IB DP CAS coordinators of both schools have been initiating this exchange.

This has been the very first visit of its kind and both schools are hoping to intensify their collaboration. There are numerous opportunities for collaboration as both schools are German GIB schools.

‘’We know how to learn independently and with others’’ as stated in the IB Learner Profile best describes this first get together. The IB candidates exchanged their learning experiences in CAS and are planning to collaborate further in this IB field. They will learn to broaden their local perspectives towards regional perspectives and further towards global perspectives to improve the world we live in.

The GIB candidates at ielev özel lisesi are looking forward to visit their counterparts in Ankara in September.
